How Does Varithena Work?
Varithena’s minimally invasive treatment process gets you back to your day fast.
With just one or two injections, Varithena vein treatment in Venice delivers a unique microfoam that rapidly closes the damaged vein. Before treatment, your Varithena specialist will discuss any anxiety or pain management should you feel more comfortable with topical numbing at the injection site.
Once prepared, your provider injects a small amount of the Varithena foam to fill the desired section of the vein, causing it to collapse and redirect blood flow to healthy vessels nearby. The foam dissipates once it comes into contact with the blood in those healthy veins, meaning it’s only active in your body for about 30 seconds.
